Grill Maestro

Thanks to Hogwild BBQ, I was made aware of some serious problems several TEC grill owners have been experiencing according to what’s been written on some BBQ forums lately. Evidently the screws in the TEC burners have been buckling under the heat and shearing off, causing an extremely unsafe condition. There are extensive pictures and many opinions but ultimately I was surprised at the response by Charbroil in not trying to get ahead of this one. According to the folks in the forums, they’re requesting that people request new parts instead of investigating further.

When I had my grill issues, Charbroil was extremely courteous in handing everything so I’m surprised at their response to something that seems much more serious. I don’t know what the final story is on this but hopefully Charbroil will do something about it.
