You would have to be an absolute moron to want to grill over newspaper rather than charcoal.. Really.. do you find any of the cook offs using newspaper? No for obvious reasons. Any serious griller would toss the newspaper garbage burner and simply stick with the classics. And as far as the toxins are concerned, you cannot make any statement concerning newspapers as a whole because you don't know what all the various printing companies use. That's why you should stick to something designated for cooking rather than reading. Duh. Get a clue about BBQ-ing please. Newspaper? Please!!!

OH, and you are 100% wrong too about it taking longer or not having enough paper! You obviously have ZERO experience with it, and have NEVER tried it, period.

It cooks FASTER than anything you can imagine, and one regular newspaper (New York Post, for example) is more than enough to cook 6 - 8 burgers and 6 - 8 hotdogs!

I've personally done it dozens of times.

Learn from real experience before passing your statements off as fact, as they are all 100% wrong.

I wish I had more hands, so I could give your write-up more thumbs down!!

Well why not do some research then and find out for sure...

I do know this, without a doubt: You are 100% wrong about the bad taste - food cooked with newspaper is MORE delicious than ANY other method (well, same as wood fire), and I've had them all!! Gas, propane, stovetop, wood fire, real charcoal, briquettes, toaster oven, convection oven, infrared rotisserie, solar oven, baked, broiled, boiled, fried, hawaiin luao (spelling?) etc etc etc, have I missed any?

So right there it makes me wonder if you know anything at all about what you are writing about.

None of you referenced materials backing up your claims so I wouldn't be so quick to judge.

Here! Here! I've got a grill especially FOR newspaper grilling that we've used for years. If you add a wood for flavoring, well, won't go into all that but yes, please do edumacate yourself prior to sending out bogus info...

Chemicals in charcoal and lighter fluid will harm you more than the newspaper. Inks are made of organics now , and are non-toxic. You need to do your homework on the subject before you make false statements. If inks in papers are toxic , then we would be dead already.
