Grilling In Your Apartment
Grilled on January 20th, 2006 in Grills
Since graduating college, I’ve lived in two apartments before I moved into the home I’m in now. One of the downsides of an apartment, especially when you’re not on the first floor, is that many of them forbid you from grilling with any sort of open flame for safety reasons. Granted, I can understand this because if you’re grilling on your wooden outdoor balcony and something bad happens… it can get really bad. Falling embers, white hot charcoal, spilled lighter fluid — your worst nightmare.
That’s where the whole line of Foreman grills comes in very handy. Now that I have more room, I doubt I’d ever use the foreman grill anymore because it just doesn’t have the same feel as firing up a grill (even if it’s propane) and cooking up some burgers, brauts or chicken breasts on an open flame. Even so, if you’re in an apartment, grilling on Foreman is better than not grilling at all. (Of course, you probably can’t use the one pictured above since it’s fueled by propane, but there are other options).
