My friend and I have been talking about getting a hardcore smoker and I think I’m going to get the one that I always see getting talked about, the Weber 2820 Smokey Mountain Cooker/Smoker. You might recall I reviewed the Smokenator (part 2) a little while back and gave it very favorable reviews. I think it’s a great product and very affordable, which are two great factors. But I wanted to try something larger and, partly, because the Weber grill I put it on is kind of gross from general use over the years.
So, I think I might pull the trigger on the Weber 2820 Smokey Mountain Cooker/Smoker and my only hesitation is whether I actually want another grilling device on my deck and whether I really want to shell out $200 for a smoker. Let’s be honest, you can get a tiny smoker for a hundred dollars, but if you want the cream of the crop, according to a lot of people I’ve read, you can’t beat the silver bullet.
Not 100% sure yet… but I’m close. Anyone out there have this and have any thoughts?

I got the smoker attachment for my Weber Gold B. Sadly, I had to leave it in Boston and couldn’t bring it to California. When I move back, I’ll be smoking and rotisserieing like no one’s business.
